Baby Nursery décor has taken on a new out-going personality! Gone are the days of teddy bear images, fluffy bunnies toys and white sleigh cots.   Baby rooms have become a focus of fun, creativity and trend: from large over-sized wall papers to trophy fluffy animal wall heads, bold light fittings, hanging rugs to compactums made from old school lockers or Moses baskets out of wicker. There are no limits on décor to putting a nursery together.

Some big looks coming through: focus on Wild Animal features in prints, wall heads or wall paper and go as far as printed animal cot linen. For those who want to sway away from striking , contrast rooms and want more of a calming space – neutral colour pallet is a fast growing trend bringing warmth and texture through in floor rugs, muted rainbows wall hangings, wicker baskets and fabric light fittings keeping all decor pieces tonal and neutral – incorporating natural wood through all big furniture pieces.

A personal favourite theme : The botanical look : Large oversized flowers brought through in wall paper , floor scatters or rugs – with the base colours being dark ( and not white) This trend gets my vote!
